Who we are
We are a foundation built in honor of Michael Reece, whose strength, courage, and love carried him through a long and difficult battle with glioblastoma brain cancer. Michael’s spirit lives on in the work we do—turning heartbreak into hope, and honoring his life by helping others facing similar challenges.
Our mission is rooted in love, resilience, and community. We strive to provide support, raise awareness, and inspire hope for patients, families, and caregivers navigating the realities of brain cancer.
This foundation is not only a tribute to Michael’s life but also a promise—to stand beside others in their fight, to bring light during dark times, and to ensure that no one walks this path alone.
About Michael
Michael Branen Reece was more than a husband, father, son, brother, and friend—he was the heart of our family and a light to everyone who knew him. Born in Honolulu on October 31, 1970, Michael lived with joy, courage, and an endless love for life.
When he was diagnosed with glioblastoma brain cancer, he faced the battle with the same strength, positivity, and determination that defined him. Even on the hardest days, Michael reminded us to live fully, love deeply, and find gratitude in every moment.
Michael’s laughter, kindness, and adventurous spirit left an imprint on everyone around him. His legacy is not only in the work he accomplished or the memories we cherish, but in the way he showed us how to face life—with resilience, grace, and love.
This foundation was created in Michael’s honor, to carry forward the light he brought into this world. Through hope, compassion, and community, we are committed to helping others on this journey—so that Michael’s spirit continues to inspire, guide, and uplift.
